In the previous post, we have talked about the Smile Box, the main sharing project of Zitee.
But why limit the smiles? ZITEE also includes an Artisan collection: the pocket tees. A simple shirt with artisan-made pockets. Each pocket has an origin story, and you help support the people who craftily make them. And just like any purchase, a portion goes to a partner cause down the line. You have a pocket that is indeed full of smiles as you effectively help twice. It’s just fitting that the pocket is placed in front of your heart.
Someone somewhere benefits from you purchasing the pocket tee. Wait, there's more. We have partnered with different charitable organizations and grouped the pockets by cause. 10% of the sales will go to the corresponding charity. With that, you can base your decision not just on the design of the pocket tee, but with the cause it represents.
Here's a run down:
WWF Philippines
The Philippines is currently the 3rd biggest producer of plastic waste, thus, it's a priority issue of WWF Philippines. They have started the #AyokongPlastik campaign to convince Filipinos to minimize the use of plastic bags. And in partnering with them, ZITEE committed to use paper bags to minimize our plastic footprint. Sales of the following pocket tees will benefit this organization:
Desert valley pocket from Arizona, USA
Llama pocket from Patagonia
Binakol pocket from Abra, Philippines
Blood:Water
Blood:Water was founded by multi-platinum, Grammy award-winning band Jars of Clay and activist Jena Lee Nardella. In partnering with them, Zitee contributes to the cause of equipping African grassroots organizations as they work to address the water and HIV/AIDS crises in their communities. If you buy any of the following, you help Blood:Water:
Cuabao Pocket from Benguet, Philippines
Navy Nautical pocket from San Francisco CA, USA
Camper pocket from Los Angeles CA, USA
Black Pencil Project
There is a group of volunteers who combine their passion for exploration with push for primary education: the Black Pencil Project. Zitee partners with Black Pencil Project to push the reach for Filipino children found in remote and indigenous communities. By providing free school supplies and learning aids, Black Pencil help inspire big dreams and make imaginations come to life. Sales of the following pocket tees will benefit this organization:
Hounds tooth pocket from Scotland
Road tripper pocket from Illinois, USA
Binakol pocket from Abra, Philippines
Cancer Warriors Foundation
Zitee believes in the Cancer Warriors Foundation, who fight for children/adolescents with cancer, childhood cancer survivors and their families. Arm these warriors and tap the warrior within you by purchasing any of these pocket tees:
Vintage Travel pocket from Oregon, USA
Mangyan pocket from Puerto Galera Mindoro, Philippines
World Traveler pocket from Cleveland OH, USA
Child Hope
Wherever we go, it's just concerning to see unattended children on the streets. That's why Zitee is lining with Child Hope Philippines to check street children out of the streets. With your purchase of these pocket tees, help reduce the number of street children and prevent their proliferation:
Kinanew pocket from Benguet, Philippines
Travel Ticket pocket from Pompeii, Italy
Expedition pocket from Spain
Special Achievers
Zitee partners with Special Achievers to contribute in equipping children with special needs for them to go beyond their disabilities, by focusing on their strengths and passions. Help more of these children fly by purchasing:
New Yorker pocket from New York, USA
Musical Notes pocket from Austria
Kantarines pocket from Abra, Philippines
We hope you appreciate the representations behind our artisan collection. What's your favorite among them, and why?
In the last part of this introduction post, we conclude the cycle.
